Their responses are then put together to form a collaborative ... poem. word collage. creative prose. we never know until it's finished. This process is meant to remind us that if we all just contribute our part to a creative project, the end result will be something exquisitely beautiful - even if (especially if) it's nothing we would have thought to create on our own. New prompt coming in September! Ages 18+ Join me as we explore the basics of improv while having low stakes fun in a highly supportive environment. No experience required! This is "drop in style", meaning the sessions can stand alone. The group is small and regular attenders get first dibs on spots. Performance is not the goal; this group is designed to play and build creative community. Email me if you'd like to get information about upcoming dates for the fall. * * * * * * * * * * * * * ROCHESTER FRINGE FESTIVAL I'll be performing at two shows at this year's Fringe festival: TY & JOANNE CREATE THE WORLD It’s fun, Fringey, unscripted theater magic when Rochester improv veterans Ty Gagnon (The Urge, Two Fat Ladies, Monstrosity) and Joanne Brokaw (The Urge, Ask Us Anything Booth, Easily Amused) turn an empty stage into a new reality, powered entirely by imagination - theirs and yours!
CATHARSIS TIME I'll be telling a (hopefully funny) five minute personal story during this show that's described as part stand up comedy, part confessional, part autobiographical roast. "Catharsis Time is an original, live show in which real people share real stories in five-minute bursts".
